Join us for a magical evening at The Brick gallery for the grand reveal of the sixth annual juried art exhibition, Dreamscapes: Beyond Reality, hosted by the Marion Cultural Alliance and sponsored by the LILAC Foundation.

Step into a realm of creativity and imagination on Friday, October 4th, where you can discover a mesmerizing collection of artworks that transport you to surreal and fantastical worlds. This year’s exhibition guarantees to be an exceptional display of talent, showcasing a variety of dreamlike interpretations by emerging and established artists.

Indulge in an evening of inspiration with fellow art enthusiasts, as you explore the captivating installations and immersive experiences that Dreamscapes has to offer. Enjoy surreal refreshments as you wander through the gallery, each piece inviting you to ponder the unique narratives and emotions they convey.

Joining this year as our exhibit juror and very special guest is Allison McCarthy, Associate Curator & Preparator at the renowned Dalí Museum in St. Pete, Florida. Awards will be announced at 5:45pm. This year’s exhibition promises to be an extraordinary showcase of talent, featuring diverse interpretations of dreamlike visions by both emerging and established artists. Embrace this chance to celebrate art and community in a enchanting environment. We can’t wait to see you there!

MCA Annual Auction & Pop Party!

Bid on exciting items while supporting the arts!

Friday, September 13 | 6 - 8 p.m.

Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA) is thrilled to announce that this year’s annual auction will be a hybrid event, kicking off with an online auction on Friday, September 6 during MCA’s September member’s reception. The excitement will build up to a grand finale on Friday, September 13 from 6-8pm at The Brick (23 SW Broadway Street), with an in-person party held two hours prior to the conclusion of the auction. Throughout September, the exhibit “COLOR POP!” will brighten the MCA Gallery, offering guests a vibrant atmosphere surrounded by colorful art. To complement the theme, the party will feature pop-related refreshments such as popcorn, popcyles, cake pops, poptarts and bubbles!

During the in-person event, all auction items and experiences will be on display, providing guests with the opportunity to see what they are bidding on firsthand. MCA will enhance the festive atmosphere with complimentary beer, wine and a signature cocktail, with a selection of pop-themed snacks available throughout the event. The OneCause online platform will continue to engage donors, providing real-time prompts and status updates on their bids, ensuring a seamless and interactive bidding experience.

In a special collaboration, MCA is partnering with Gray Realty to feature a live auction as part of the evening’s festivities. Excitingly, 100% of the proceeds from the auction will contribute to MCA’s Give4Marion Campaign.
