Art in Business

Connecting local businesses with local artists through curated workplace exhibitions, custom commissions, and creative partnerships that enrich our community through the arts.

MCA’s Art in Business

As part of Marion Cultural Alliance’s mission to champion and support local artists, the Art in Business (AIB) program connects creativity with community by bringing original artwork into professional spaces throughout Ocala and beyond.

Through this program, local businesses have the opportunity to transform their workplaces into rotating gallery spaces that inspire employees, engage clients, and support the growth of our vibrant arts community. From corporate offices and professional waiting areas to conference rooms and collaborative spaces, Art in Business creates meaningful connections between local artists and local businesses.

Current AIB pARTners include businesses such as Angie Lewis State Farm and Reveille Wealth Management, whose gallery spaces proudly showcase works by talented regional artists year-round.

Why Art in Business?

Studies continue to show that displaying art in the workplace can positively impact employee well-being, creativity, productivity, and client experience. Beyond aesthetics, participating businesses become active supporters of the local arts ecosystem while creating welcoming and inspiring environments for their teams and visitors.

Whether your business is looking for a calming coastal collection, bold contemporary works, equestrian-inspired art, or a fully themed exhibition, MCA works closely with each pARTner to curate a gallery experience tailored to their space and vision.

How the Program Works

MCA Will:

  • Provide artist recommendations and artwork selections based on a desired theme or aesthetic OR create a customized Call to Artists with the business’ input
  • Assist with selecting artists and artworks, including sizing and quantity recommendations for each installation
  • Help determine the best hanging system and recommend necessary hanging supplies
  • Manage exhibit installation, including securing artists, curating & displaying artwork, and creating professional labels
  • Provide exhibit signage recognizing the Art in Business partnership with MCA
  • Coordinate rotating exhibits every 3-6 months and maintain communication with participating artists

The Business Will:

  • Work with MCA staff to identify artistic themes, styles, or artists of interest
  • Order and install the hanging system best suited for their workplace
  • Add Marion Cultural Alliance as insured
  • Remit partnership payment to MCA

    AIB Horse Commissions

In addition to rotating gallery exhibitions, MCA also facilitates custom Horse Fever sculpture commissions through the Art in Business program — creating one-of-a-kind public art pieces that celebrate local culture, business identity, and community spirit.

    Recent commissions have included:

    • Custom-painted horse sculptures for local businesses and organizations
    • Collaborative artist-led designs inspired by brand identity and community themes
    • Large-scale display pieces created to serve as lasting landmarks and conversation pieces

These signature horse commissions not only support local artists, but also leave a lasting artistic legacy within our community.
