Each year he Marion County Center for the Arts (MCCA) at West Port High School offers an Evening of One Acts. Students in the high school’s directing classes spend the first few weeks of class discussing play production and how to choose the right play for a particular audience. The student directors then audition students from the acting courses to stage 3-5 one acts for an audience. During the Evening of One Acts, the directors share their production in hopes that it will be selected by the panel of community theatre artists to represent the school at the District Thespian One Act Festival in December.
