Creature Feature: August Animal Art Exhibit featuring the art of MCA artist members. Join us for the opening reception on Friday, August 6 from 5-6pm #atTheBrick with bites and refreshments provided for MCA members and guests. Also joining us during the reception will be SPCA of Ocala with Molly, the official Ambassador of the Marion County animal abuser registry! Animals have been a source of inspiration for many artists. From art about rural life and growth, to myths and legends, animals are used in art in many ways. Art can help us explore our relationship to wildlife and can help us think about how we care for animals and the environment. From cute house pets to imaginary creatures, artists in this exhibit explore how and why animals excite the human imagination.
